This past summer I had one of my joys of my childhood relived and passed it to the next generation, The Rockford Speedway’s World Famous Figure 8 Trailer Race. I mean really, is there a better way to spend mid summer’s night with good food, family and watching the ridiculus chaos of trucks pulling all manner of trailers in a figure 8 demolition derby style? I am by no means an auto racing guy, I fully know the risks the drivers put themselves through and rigors of racing, but I have not been hooked by it. But give me some friends on warm night and I will be a right along side watching this spectacle every chance I get.
