Every couple has a story and it seems almost every couple tries and tell me their story is boring and lacks anything intriguing. I have found that when you truly dig into a couple, who they were, what they are now and what they going to become, you will always find a deeper story. Shelby and Ricardo’s story is just like that. You meet this couple in the aisle of the grocery store and would think they are a sweet couple in love with their first child. However, let me tell you, they are so much more than that, especially when you have them surrounded with their friends. I found out very quickly that they love to have fun, their friends love to stir the pot and they are so beloved by their family and friends.

However, I also experienced something else. In the quiet moments of the day both Shelby and Ricardo pulled me aside and overwhelmed me with their gratitude. During the dog days of summer and I am grinding through wedding after wedding, these are the moments that fuel me. I dig into my couples because I am invested in them as much as they have invested into me and at the end of the day, I am one who should be overwhelmingly grateful.

Shelby and Ricardo, thank you for trusting me to capture this day that I know meant so much to you and to your family!
