One of my favorite parts of photographing couples is actually getting to meet AND know the couples. After all the emails and phone calls and then the engagement session, I feel like I have a pretty good handle on who they are. Usually by the day of the wedding I know exactly what I am getting into.
Usually.
Unless it is Rachel and Brad’s wedding.
I found myself at the salon with a few of Rachel’s Bridesmaids and I realized that I am in way over my head.
I was prepared for a couple that was deeply in love. I was prepared for a couple that would do anything for a friend, even if they just met them that day. I was prepared for a bigger bridal party. However I was no where near prepared for a bridal party like this. I was blow away by how Rachel and Brad just got lost in each other. I was caught off guard by the amount of their family asking ME if I needed anything. Finally, I fully expected to be just a photographer and ended up being a photographer who made some new friends.
Rachel and Brad, your wedding was the final one of four in a span of 8 days. Even though it was chaotic stretch for me, thank you for being a couple that makes me so proud to be able to do this four times in 8 days. Thank you so much for choosing me to be your photographer but an even bigger thanks for allowing me to become a friend!
