For the first time in my photography travels, I photographed a wedding on Halloween. When Kate sent me a message asking if I would be available to shoot her wedding, I did hesitate a little. I really do enjoy spending Halloween with my family and this year we had some extra things going on. I went back and forth a little bit. Spending time with my family is always huge for me but also when you sign up to be a wedding photographer, you are going to miss holidays/birthdays/anniversary’s. One year I photographed weddings on my birthday, Jayden’s birthday, Michelle’s birthday and Michelle’s and I’s anniversary, but those are the sacrifices we make to be able to do this for a living. In the end, I ended up booking Kate and Brandon’s wedding. Then it rained on the wedding day and it was cold and cloudy. You know what though? Now that it is all said and done I am very happy and blessed I was able to be a part of their wedding! Their wedding was filled with laughs and hugs and a group of friends that seemed to know each other for ever. All through their day I found myself in the middle of all these people, which led me to laughing and getting hugs from people I barely knew.

Kate and Brandon, thank you for letting me be a small part of your day! As you settle into your lives as husband and wife, I hope these photos bring back all those smiles and hugs and laughs from your wedding day!
