One of my favorite parts of Bridal Shows, and very underrated by my peers, is just talking with the fellow vendors. I do not mean the standard chit chat, how is business going talk either. I mean real talk, laugh out loud, tease each other talking. A few years I ago I walked to up a person I had never met before at a Bridal Show and just started talking. This person was Farrah and she was just getting the ball rolling as being a wedding designer/coordinator. I can not recall exactly how our conversation left the standard chit chat but I know it happened quickly, naturally and I had fun hearing her story. We have kept in touch over the past few years and I have had the pleasure of watching her business grow each year since. While we kept in touch, we never had the chance to work together until this past New Year’s Eve when I photographed her wedding. While it may not be exactly “working together” in the traditional sense, I really did get see Farrah’s designs in so many different ways throughout her wedding.
More importantly though, I got to see Farrah as herself just loving her Husband Adam. I was able to watch her be a bride and just enjoy the moments. Farrah and Adam, thank you for letting be the person you trusted to photograph your wedding! As you start out 2015 as husband and wife, I hope these photographs bring you back to those special, quiet moments. Congrats!
