I usually get the chance to spend a decent amount of time with my couples before I photograph their wedding, but that does not always end up being the case. Emily and Rohail tied the knot in the middle of Med School for Emily, so needless to say, I got to spend very little time with them before their wedding 😉 I am always a little nervous and also curious with how they are going to once my camera is in my hand. Couples have a lot on their plate on their wedding day and all I want for them is to enjoy their day but sometimes they worry about how they are going took in front of the camera a little more than they should.

So Emily and Rohail chose to see each other before their wedding and when it came time for them to see it each other, it was literally almost 100 degrees with over 90% humidity… not the most “romantic” conditions. I got them organized, gave them a few words to help them relax and enjoy this special moment, and then took my spot and raised my camera. What happened next was that EVERYTHING around both Emily and Rohail just seemed to disappear. It was beautifully obvious that nothing else mattered to them in that moment. As they day went along, anytime I had Emily and Rohail together, they just got lost in each other and made things so easy for me as a photographer.

Emily and Rohail, thank you for letting me be a part of your wedding and I hope you have some time this summer to soak in every moment from your wedding! Congrats!
