I purchased my first camera by saving up my lawn mowing money so I could have a nice camera for my 8th grade class trip to Niagara Falls in 1992. Don’t do the math, we all know I am like real old….

I bought my first digital camera in 1998 that had 32MB, yes megabytes, of built in memory with no removable memory. It was made by Casio, the same people who made that digital watch that had the calculator in it.

From 2008-2010 I registered my website domain, created my photography company, bought my first DSLR camera, photographed my first wedding and photographed my first destination wedding in Mexico.

Photography and documenting people has always been in my blood and over the last 10 years I have been so blessed to have it be what I do for a living. What I have found though is all that gear, all that history, all experience really means very little in 2018. People do. More importantly the feeling people get by spending time with you REALLY matters. I was blessed as the photographer Danielle and Eric choose to be a part of their day because of the feeling I left on another couple 3 years ago. This is all you really need to know Danielle and Eric. They are real people, not models. They had a beautiful wedding with details that mattered to them, not details that mattered to Pinterest. They laughed with their friends, they cried a few tears with family, they let me tease them a little and WOW, did Eric get absolutely roasted by his Best Man’s speech! Danielle and Eric’s wedding is one that I am very very proud of, mainly because of WHO they are. Everything they are, how they found me, how they laughed with me, how they trusted me…. is EVERYTHING I could ever wish for as a photographer.

Danielle and Eric, I know you are just making it back from your honeymoon, but thank you. Thank you for choosing me to photograph your wedding but also thank you for showing that wide-eyed 8th grader just what that camera in his hand could really do for him and his family!
