I have photographed many different events and the people within those events over the years. The photographs of those events are almost like mini time capsules, they freeze the emotions of the moment and permanently preserve them. What may be a fleeting moment in someones life, a moment that is a deep experience yet over in an instant is something I always try an capture. Chasing these moments is what I so enjoy about weddings. Couples spends years planning, organizing and building to an event that is over in hours and when it comes to the ceremony, literally minutes. With all this pressure applied to each couple, the wedding day itself tends to strip away all the “fluff” in who we are as people and you truly get to see who each couple is on the inside. This is what made Courtney and Jonathan’s wedding so special. It was not the venue, the flowers, the dress, the dancing, the almost torrential rain… it was just simply those two people. I was able to watch both them experience the pressure of a wedding day and when it was all said and done, what was left in front of me was a couple that at its simplest form, was just in love.
Courtney and Jonathan, thank you for trusting me with capturing all the amazing parts of your day! They we all perfect and beautiful but you are what made them special.
