In all the hustle and bustle of planning a wedding and then the actual wedding day, I think many couples forget how tough it was to get to this point. For those of you who are married think back to 3 weeks after your wedding, after the jet lag from your honeymoon, after your gifts have been opened after all the hoopla is over and you are sitting on the couch. In that moment when you are flipping through the TV channels and you look back at your wedding, have you EVER turned to each other and said “Well that wedding was much easier than I thought it would be!”? It takes time, effort, planning, amazing family and friends and it takes a deep commitment to each other. Ashlee and Jeff’s wedding was different, everywhere I turned and listened, I knew that not only Ashlee and Jeff but also their friends and family knew how long and grinding road it was for Ashlee and Jeff to have their day. That also meant, when it was time to celebrate, boy was it time to celebrate! The smiles were broad, the laughs were loud and the sighs in the room were ones of joy. Ashlee and Jeff, when your plane lands in Hawaii this blog will be waiting for you. So find a quiet spot in Hawaii after looking through your photographs and enjoy the moment and appreciate the path you took to get where you are now.
