I officially retired the Canon XTi and moved onto the 40d this past week and my first impressions are very good ones. There are many features that made me take the jump to the 40d, 6.5fps, live view, longer battery run time but the one with most value to me was the high ISO capabilities of the camera. Not only is it ISO 3200 capable, but the noise level on the 40d at 3200 is similar to the noise level at ISO 800 on my XTi. I have not had the chance to take too many pics with it but I did get this one of my little boy after his bath. I did some post processing in Lightroom 2.0, but that is it. Oh, and this was taken in ISO 800 🙂
