This was no ordinary engagement session. Not because it was a destination engagement session. Not because I was able to photograph it deep in the Rocky Mountains or at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. No, the reason was much more meaningful to me. It was because after 35 years my cousin Joel is finally walking down the aisle this summer. So when he called me and asked if I was interested in photographing his engagement session, I jumped at the chance! After the usual extra special screening at airport security and a short flight later I also got the chance to meet his fiance, Megan. I am proud to say that my cousin was spending those 35 years honing his skills at finding the right girl because Megan is just that for him. Seeing them interact together and knowing who Joel is, I was able to see how they truly will be a couple that other couples can look up too. So enjoy this blog post everyone, there were a few of us in my family who where starting to wonder if it would ever take place!
