Cold? What Cold?
Jesse and Brad … oh where do I begin…. Let’s go back to the beginning, back to our first meeting. I remember sitting across from Jesse and Brad and thinking that if this couple does not book me, I am going to have full on, legit meltdown. You see the more and more I work with couples, the more and more photographs I take and then edit, I realize that just how important finding a couple that overlaps with who I am. It is so essential to both of our success and well being. As a couple you will find yourself spending more time with your photographer on your wedding and than any other single person. From a photographer perspective, if a couple books me solely upon my photographic capabilities, I may end up with a couple that is just a completely different person than I am. So why that is a problem when all I do is just take photographs? Because how much I can blend in with the couple and their families, will ALWAYS show itself in the photographs. Which brings me back to Jesse and Brad. As we are sitting there and I am listening to Jesse’s amazingly contagious laugh, I find myself thinking to myself that our conversation has COMPLETELY derailed the point of meeting…. and I would not have it any other way. At that moment, the paperwork and formalities of being another vendor are gone and we are left as 3 people who feel like they are trying to catch each other up on their lives. Fast forward months later and there we are, standing in the middle of snow covered tree’s laughing again… and I would not have it any other way.
