For those of you who do not know, I spent my entire childhood, my teens and a large part of my adult life playing soccer. It has always been a passion of mine and especially in high school an outlet for me escape into. I threw myself into the sport, literally and have the scar to prove it including breaking my nose twice.

It has never been the most popular sport in the States but every four years there is the World Cup and my world stops for the US team. My wife took this pic as I was serving pancakes and bacon to a few friends I had over to watch US vs Slovenia game that started at 9am. Great food, great friends and watching the greatest tournament on earth…
