For once I am going to start off a blog and not talk about the couple I just photographed but rather, just me.

I have a pretty unique family and one of the quirks I have experienced growing up is I did not get to meet my oldest sister until I was 28 and she was 19. I am happy to say that I have an amazing relationship with my oldest sister now. This is where my story ends and we begin Stephanie and Brad’s story.

You see for those 19 years when I did not get to be a big brother to my sister Hannah, Stephanie was taking care of my sister and being her best friend and even going to the same college together. Spending the past years listening to story the stories Hannah would tell of Stephanie, all the exploits and shenanigans, it made my heart grow fond knowing that Hannah always had Stephanie and Stephanie always had Hannah. Even before Stephanie met Brad, she had asked Hannah if I would be willing to photograph her wedding.

Soon after Stephanie and Brad were engaged, I sat down with them and just listened to their story. After knowing Stephanie and for a few years I was stuck at how much of a perfect fit Brad was for her. I was even more stuck at how much I wanted to be a part of their wedding and share this moment with them. It was just something little compared to what Stephanie did for Hannah, but I wanted to give Stephanie something in return for always being there.

Stephanie and Brad, I know you have had a unique week with everything you have had to take care of. I hope these photographs find you at a time when you look back and understand just how strong you both are. I also you realized just how MUCH stronger you can be by growing together. Most of all, I just want to thank you for so many things but most of all, for just being you.
